Reem Ahmed is a Master of Arts student in Global African Studies at The Africa Institute, Global Studies University, specializing in Diplomacy and Africa’s International Relations. Born in Sudan, Reem explores Africa’s role in global politics from an African perspective, focusing on regional dynamics, political transitions, and Africa’s engagement with international actors. Drawing on her academic background in English Language and Logistics Studies and professional experience in training coordination, documentation, and communication, she examines African diplomacy, regional integration, South–South cooperation, trade policy, and infrastructure development. Her research emphasizes trade and logistics in Africa, supply chain governance, regional trade corridors, African diplomacy in international organizations, and the intersection of trade policy and diplomatic strategy.
"One of my favorite parts of the program has been the diversity of languages. Learning Amharic in class and being surrounded by so many languages across the university made the experience lively, immersive, and culturally rich. It truly brings African and global studies to life."
