Chinwendu Uche Erondu is a Master of Arts candidate in Global African Studies at The Africa Institute, Global Studies University, specializing in Museum and Critical Heritage Studies. Grounded in international relations and technology, her research draws on her Nigerian-American background to examine the political, ethical, and social questions surrounding African material heritage, art repatriation, and textile studies, with a commitment to equitable, community-centered preservation. She is drawn to the storytelling power of museums and exhibitions, and to how thoughtful design can make history both accessible and empowering. Her work investigates how policy, design, and technology converge to shape heritage interpretation and restitution, advancing a vision of museums as sites of genuine equity that amplify Africa's presence and agency on the global stage.
