Afro-Arab Relations

Owosho Abdulbasit Akorede is a Master of Arts student in Global African Studies at The Africa Institute, Global Studies University, specializing in Afro-Arab Relations. Hailing from Nigeria, Owosho draws on an interdisciplinary foundation in African literature and Arabic language, literature, and history. His research examines the intersections between Africa and the Arab world, engaging archival sources, literary texts, and historical and cultural materials. He is particularly interested in African diaspora studies, transnational identity, cultural hybridity, migration, and mobility. Owosho aims to contribute to global African studies while developing rigorous analytical and methodological skills for balanced, impactful research.
