Afro-Arab Relations

Youssouf Issen Ousman is a Master of Arts student in Global African Studies at The Africa Institute, Global Studies University, specializing in Afro-Arab Relations. From the Central African Republic, Youssouf brings a background in psychological counseling and international relations, complemented by hands-on experience in migration support and humanitarian operations. His research examines multi-stage migration processes connecting Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, with attention to governance, labor mobility, and regional cooperation. He is particularly interested in institutional responses at regional and international levels and in advancing evidence-based migration policy. His work engages Africa–Middle East relations, diaspora and transnational studies, refugee and forced migration policy, women’s labor migration, and international development frameworks. Professionally, he aims to contribute to international organizations, particularly within the UN system or related institutions, fostering regional cooperation and sustainable migration solutions.
