Mark Rayner Sakari Wanyonyi is a Master of Arts student in Global African Studies at The Africa Institute, Global Studies University, specializing in Diplomacy and Africa’s International Relations. Born in Kenya, Mark draws on his background in international relations, governance, and peacebuilding to explore Africa’s engagement with global governance frameworks, migration policy, and peace and security. His research examines how African states navigate multilateral institutions, address post-conflict recovery, and confront the political and economic legacies of neocolonialism.
Mark investigates the intersections of human security, refugee protection, and international development, aiming to translate theoretical insights into practical policy solutions. He aspires to emerge as a versatile professional equipped for diplomatic service, multilateral institutions, and international development roles, advancing Africa’s strategic agency on the global stage.
