The Global Studies University Library is open to the wider community in the Emirate of Sharjah and across the United Arab Emirates. To access the library, you must present one of the following:
- A valid identification card issued by The Africa Institute.
- A valid library card issued by The Africa Institute Library.
- A visitor ID badge obtained through visitor registration.

Visitors: Access and Borrowing
Visitors are welcome at the Global Studies University Library during opening hours. Before using the library, visitors must register by presenting a valid government-issued ID.
Please note: Global Studies University reserves the right to deny access to any individual. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in the suspension of visitor access and borrowing privileges.
Wireless Access
Wireless internet access is available to visitors across campus, including within the library. Visitor Wi-Fi does not provide access to licensed library online content or databases.
Access to Electronic Resources for Visitors
Licensed electronic resources are accessible from designated computers within the library. However, certain resources are restricted to Global Studies University faculty, staff, and students. For assistance accessing electronic resources, please consult library staff.
