Halifet Ayemohammed Yusuf is a Master of Arts student in Global African Studies at The Africa Institute, Global Studies University, specializing in Diplomacy and Africa’s International Relations. Born in Ethiopia and raised in Saudi Arabia, her research is informed by a life across overlapping African and Arab worlds, with a focus on how diplomacy operates beyond formal legal frameworks, particularly where law alone is insufficient. Trained in law, human rights, and Islamic ethics, and drawing on extensive experience as a law lecturer, researcher, and human rights practitioner, she examines how culture, language, religion, and lived experience shape diplomatic engagement in African and Afro-Arab contexts. Halifet integrates legal, ethical, and diplomatic frameworks to produce scholarship that is both academically rigorous and policy-relevant, bridging personal insight, interdisciplinary analysis, and practical implications for Africa–Middle East relations.
