Ishan Datey is a Master of Arts student in Global African Studies at The Africa Institute, Global Studies University, specializing in Diplomacy and Africa’s International Relations. From the United States, he is passionate about understanding and working with people to address global challenges and strengthen narratives of a more interconnected world. His research focuses on Indo-African relations and the Indian Ocean littoral, examining how cross-national and inter-communal collaboration can foster development and human collectivism. Ishan’s work aims to design initiatives that connect communities, advance regional cooperation, and promote a shared understanding across the Indian Ocean basin.
