Monsoon: Journal of the Indian Ocean Rim has released Volume 3, Issue 1. Published by The Africa Institute in collaboration with Duke University Press, the journal continues to explore the diverse cultures, histories, and politics of Indian Ocean societies, with particular attention to often-overlooked regions such as East Africa and the Arabian Peninsula.
The journal features original research essays and thematic issues that highlight the interconnected dynamics shaping the Indian Ocean basin. This latest issue is now available through Duke University Press. View the full table of contents.

The Africa Institute is dedicated to advancing African and African diaspora studies through its research and publications. In service of that, the Institute plans to publish a number of academic journals across disciplines. Monsoon is its first academic journal, produced in collaboration with Duke University Press.
