Rebecca Wembabazi is a Ph.D. student in Global Studies, specializing in Historical, Political, and Social Studies at Global Studies University. Her research focuses on the historical and structural inequalities shaping African women’s lives, with particular attention to the intersections of gender, labor, and the state.
Drawing on her academic training and research experience in gender and political economy, Rebecca examines feminisms, decolonial thought, and global political economy. Her doctoral research investigates how state policies in Uganda influence the organization of gendered labor and social reproduction, situating these dynamics within broader historical and global contexts. Through this work, she aims to amplify marginalized perspectives and contribute to critical debates on gender, labor, and policy.
