On 20 November 2025, Global Studies University, in collaboration with Doctors Clinic Diagnostic Center, hosted a Diabetes Awareness Day to promote understanding of prevention, early detection, and management of diabetes. The event brought together students, faculty, staff, and community members for an interactive session focused on practical strategies for maintaining health and reducing risks associated with the condition.
The program included a presentation, a Q&A session, and one-to-one consultations led by Dr. Salah Abdalla Barakat Elbakeit, a General Practitioner at DCDC with extensive experience in Internal Medicine. Participants received personalized advice on lifestyle adjustments, regular screenings, and other preventive measures.
The initiative reflects Global Studies University’s ongoing commitment to community health and well-being and is part of a series of programs designed to raise awareness on critical health topics, encourage healthy practices, and engage the community in proactive health management.
