A respected scholar with a strong record of interdisciplinary research and academic leadership, Professor El Bernoussi brings a deep commitment to critical global issues and intellectual engagement across borders. Her recent recognition with the 2025 Global South Award by the International Political Science Association (IPSA) reflects the international impact and relevance of her work.
As Interim Chair, Professor El Bernoussi will help guide the Department of Humanities through a dynamic period of growth and development. Her leadership promises to build on the department’s existing strengths while supporting new areas of inquiry and collaboration.
