Global Studies University (GSU) will participate in Creative Careers Days 2026, taking place from Saturday, February 7 to Monday, February 9, 2026, at the Jameel Arts Centre. GSU will be present throughout the event at Booth 4 (location map).

Creative Careers Days 2026, titled Art as a Voice: How Do You Use It?, brings together universities, cultural institutions, and creative practitioners to examine the role of artistic practice in expression, dialogue, and public engagement. At this year’s event, The Africa Institute, the first of GSU’s network of semi-independent institutes, will feature its language certifications, residential and non-residential fellowships, and community initiatives.

The three-day event is structured as follows: Saturday, February 7, and Sunday, February 8, are open to the public and feature talks, workshops, portfolio and CV reviews, and professional development sessions. Monday, February 9, is dedicated to scheduled group visits by schools and universities, focusing on learning, application support, and career pathways in the arts, humanities, and social sciences.

Visitors are encouraged to meet GSU representatives at Booth 4 to discuss academic and creative opportunities and learn how programs and initiatives from The Africa Institute can support research, study, and community engagement.

Attendees can also meet award-winning filmmaker and artist Sofia El Khyari, former Tejumola Olaniyan Creative Writers-in-Residence Fellow, who will be reviewing portfolios from 1:30–2:30 pm at the Jameel Library on all event days.
