On November 10, 2025, at the 44th edition of Sharjah International Book Fair, the Arabic edition of The Complete Works of Jamal Mohamed Ahmed (2025), edited by Basheer Abusin and published by The Africa Institute, Global Studies University, was officially launched at Forum 1, Expo Centre Sharjah.
The event featured a panel discussion on the literary, cultural, and scholarly contributions of Ahmed’s works, including Reflections on African Affairs, On African Drama, The Conscience of Africa, and Arabs and Africans.
Panelists included Albasheer Sahl Jumaa’ Sahl, dramaturg and former Regional Minister of Education of El-Gadarif State; Dr. Lemya Shammat, former Head of Languages and Cultural Studies at King Saud University; Dr. Mohamed Abdulrahman Hasan, former Associate Professor at Al Neelain University; and Basheer Abusin, poet, researcher, and editor of the volume.
The discussion highlighted Ahmed’s enduring impact on Sudanese literature and African cultural studies.
